    Seahawks beat the 9ers.

Both are now 5-5 and the Rams have beat them both.

Next week SF is on the road at GB, and Seattle plays ARZ at home.

Sign of strength of the NFL:
Biggest game of year is between Kansas City and Buffalo, two of smallest markets in pro sports.
Rare to see sustained success in small markets in other sports, common in NFL (Green Bay as well).
The power of equal revenue sharing and a Salary Cap.

How dominant is the Steelers defense?

Pittsburgh is now 2-0 this season in games when they fail to score a touchdown.

The rest of the NFL is 2-19 combined when failing to score a touchdown.

NoCal radio stations were all slitting their wrists over the 49ers today. Cheered me up a lot.

Greg Cosell on Brock Purdy’s performance against the Seahawks:

“In this game Purdy did not see the field very well. There were throws to be made that he left on the field, down-field throws. I can’t tell you why he’s not seeing it, but he’s not been as decisive.

There were specific plays… The route concept was there, read was clean. For whatever reason Brock didn’t process it the right way. He ended up not throwing balls he should throw. He did not play very well this week.”
