it makes sense. and even despite that, he had 128 total yards from scrimmage this last game.

this is how they give him the best chance of staying healthy.

Sure. I think McV is very aware that players are not cylons.

I also think McV’s offense is all about ‘spreading the ball around’. Goff is the ‘point guard’, etc.

as it is gurley is on pace for 358 touches (carries and receptions combined).

and then i read some article that says gurley should get a MINIMUM of 25 touches a game going forward…

that’s 400 touches over an entire season!!! do people realize how rare it is for a running back to get 400 touches for a season????

he’s doing fine. over the last four games, he’s still had 424 yards from scrimmage. that’s nearly 1700 over 16 games. i’m looking for quality touches. he’s still getting quality touches. and he’s going to be fresher over the long-term.

people criticized fisher about running gurley into the ground. mcvay is doing his best to take care of him, and now he’s getting criticized!?!? i don’t get it.

this team has way too many other weapons. they have sammy, rob, coop, and now josh…

that’s not even mentioning everett who i still think has a lot more to give to this team than he has been. he just needs seasoning. when malcolm gets back, he’s a talented runner. he can give todd a blow.

i wanna see todd play for as long as he can. giving him the ball 400 times a season is going to break the guy. unless he’s some sort of freak like emmitt smith.
