The third season of The Timeline premieres following the Thursday Night Football game between the Los Angeles Rams-San Francisco 49ers on NFL Network on Thursday, September 21 with The Greatest Show on Turf, offering an in-depth look at the Rams’ record-breaking offense from 1999-2001.

Learned 2 new things from it.

    1. On his way to have dinner with then free agent Trent Green, trying to convince Trent to sign, Vermeil had a car wreck. The woman he hit, when they were exchanging insurance info etc., recognized him and began pushing on him about getting rid of Tony Banks. “What are you going to do about quarterback?”

    2. Famously, on the first play of the Vikings playoff game, Bruce scores. What no one knew at the time was that he had popped his hamstring. He didn’t tell the coaches or trainers, and he knew the first play was coming to him. He says on that play, he didn’t feel a thing. He still had the hamstring, but he still ran fast and ignored it.

kurt’s right. if they played in this era of football, they would have set records beyond reach. 700 points in a season? maybe.

they were ahead of their time.

In addition I didn’t know that Faulk believes in Voodoo, but Tory does not…
