I would say one obvious concern is penalties.

I would say one obvious good omen is the passing attack (I don’t just mean this or that receiver is stepping up, I mean the design, strategy, execution, all things combined).

There’s more but that’ll do from me for now.

    I’m concerned
    Bradford really didnt elevate
    the team, against the
    Saints.

Rams don’t take the Saints all that seriously.

Last 3 games, they started back-ups against them. Feeley, Clemens, Hill.

The Rams QBs will storm the West and destroy the competition this year.

They will be the Inglorious Bradfords.

My biggest concern after the NO game is simply that I did not really see any evidence of a team, especially a defense, showing evidence of gelling into something special.

We’ve already talked about the guys not playing, yadda, yadda, yadda, …

And I certainly acknowledge that there is time for it to emerge.

But we have not seen it yet. It isn’t real until we see it.

And last year, we kept thinking it would come, it would come … and it never did.

When we actually see serious team or at least unit excellence in games, it will be time to believe. Until then, it’s fantasy and theory.

By virtue of the absurd ...

    Concerns:
    1. Penalties
    2. More penalties
    3. The Leg – You can’t go 1-3 unless they’re all longer than 50 yards. Especially at home, in a dome.

    Good omens:
    1. The RBs look decisive and “crisp”. Stacy, Cunningham, and Mason hit the dang daylight and take what’s there. Not a lot of college running, where they bounce around outside and try to beat people with speed and moves. Unless you’re the next Barry Sanders, don’t do that. If the O-line blocks 3 yards, the RB should get at least 4. Take what’s there and be quick about it.

    2. The D-line is going to be the best pass rushing line in the NFL. They have the skill, now they need opportunity. If the offense could ever get a decent lead in the 4th quarter, this D could break the sack record.

    3. No turnovers in pre-season game 1. The Rams simply cannot afford any this year. The Seahawks and Niners destroy teams that turn the ball over.

    4. Special teams, with the exception of “The Leg” looked great.

I’m not worried about tackling. Every game I watched last week had poor tackling.

in the Saints game, I liked WR S. Bailey a lot, QB Shaun Hill, RB Benny Cunningham, the starting D-Line with the quick T.O..

didn’t like Greg’s kicking accuracy and the penalties….

Gaines performance was a good omen for me. I still dont trust Jenkins and Tru.
