Baldinger (PTTD) just pointed out 3 2014 playoff teams started
    two rookies on the Oline

    ncluding the Super Bowl winner.

    NE, IND and BAL.

    * Three hour draft wrap today (team by team analysis?), 10:00 AM -1:00 PM and re-broadcast 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM PST

Rams with Les Snead are the third team covered (after TB and TEN), starts about the 22 minute mark.

BRF-the-3rd – This is gonna be one heck of a training camp

9 guys fighting for 2 starting OL spots, and 2, maybe 3 back up spots. 3 of them aren’t gonna make it on the active roster, hopefully they will be on the PS.

Also, the LB spot between Ayers and Dunbar. And where does Fairly fit in?

But think about these young OL. They will have to prove themselves against guys like Long, Fairly, Brockers, etc in practice. Odds are, they aren’t going to excel in the first go around. But, they might not have games against any DL as good as what they practice against. (I know in todays NFL, practice and games are very different).

Could this be the draft that we all applaud 3 yrs from now? A stable, young, large OL with a top star RB?

Baltimore is misleading. The Ravens best linemen started a ton of games. Kelechi Osemele started 14 games, Marshal Yanda started all 16, the OLT Monroe started 11, and Ricky Wagner started 15 (he did miss the playoffs).

They did have some holes in the playoffs, but their oline was healthy for the regular season.

I still think there’s a good possibility the Rams bring in a vet like Blalock just so they don’t have to depend on the rookies.

Enh. New England had a lot of injury replacements during the season. Fwiw, their playoff OL (with years in the league in 2014) was:

    Nate Solder…4
    Daniel Connolly…8
    Bryan Stork … R
    Ryan Wendell …. 6
    Sebastian Vollmer …. 6

Kline (2) replaced Wendell in one playoff game.

I don’t know about IND, but then, they had a weak OL.
