2016 NFL Draft: Los Angeles Rams Prospect Visit Tracker Update

Here’s a list of 2016 NFL Draft prospects the Los Angeles Rams have met with according to Walter Football (who acquires the info from WF’s Charlie Campbell and “other media sources”):

Mackensie Alexander^, CB, Clemson (COM, PRI)
    Brandon Allen, QB, Arkansas (SR)
Jack Allen, C, Michigan State (SR)
Storm Barrs-Woods, RB, Oregon State (EW)
    V’Angelo Bentley, CB, Illinois (EW)
    Joe Bolden, ILB, Michigan (EW)
    Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh (PRO)
    Deon Bush, S, Miami (EW)
Taveze Calhoun, CB, Mississippi State (PRO)
Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State (PRO)
    Blake Countess, CB, Auburn (PRO)
    Taylor Fallin, OT, Memphis (EW)
    Clayton Fejedelem, FS, Illinois (EW)
Darion Griswold, TE, Arkansas State (EW)
    Anthony Harrell, OLB, Florida (EW)
Cory James, OLB, Colorado State (EW)
    Daniel Lasco, RB, California (EW)
    Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis (COM)
Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State (SR)
    Shawn Oakman, DE/3-4DE, Baylor (SR)
    David Onyemata, DT, Manitoba (EW)
    Keenan Reynolds, RB, Navy (EW)
    Brandon Ross, RB, Maryland (EW)
    Anthony Sarao, ILB, USC (EW)
Hunter Sharp, WR, Utah State (EW)
Brandon Shell, OT, South Carolina (EW)
    Aziz Shittu, DE, Stanford (EW)
    Aaron Wallace, OLB, UCLA (EW)

    SR – Senior Bowl meeting
    EW – East-West Shrine meeting
    COM – Combine meeting
PRO – Pro Day or campus meeting/workout
PRI – Private visit. Prospect making an official 30 visit
^ – has met with team at more than one event

It’s definitely an interesting list. Here’s how it breaks down by position:
QB RB WR TE OL DL LB CB S
    3 4 3 1 3 3 5 4 2

Now, I’m not suggesting there’s a going to be a direct correlation between this and the draft, but to see running back, linebacker and cornerback as the three positions with the most visit activity…this is the Rams. And sure, this is just WF’s reporting. There could obviously be some gaps of unreported visits.

And no, the fact that the Rams have met with Clemson CB Mackensie Alexander wasn’t a factor in my mock pick of him for the Rams at #15 in the SB Nation Blogger Mock Draft. I hadn’t looked at WF’s tracker in a while until today. But I would hope it wouldn’t surprise anyone…
