    from https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2021/09/12/rams-sean-mcvay-matthew-stafford-week-1-quote/?taid=6142f986ea02a30001b0fa45&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

McVay discussed his quarterback’s outstanding night, having trouble picking one thing that stood out to him from Stafford’s display of talent.

“I think it was just his steady demeanor throughout the course of the game,” McVay said. “Just like you had seen in practice and seen from afar, but I think their first drive of the second half I thought was most impressive. But then I’m thinking about what an unbelievable job he did progressing, finding Robert Woods on the last touchdown, so there were multiple things but I think the overall game management and I think the expectation. You could just see there was a look in his eye. He had confidence in his teammates. He expected to play well and he did a great job. It’s hard to say there was one thing. I loved everything he did tonight.”

Matthew Stafford is 2-0 with 5 TDs & 1 INT.

    Last. time he was 2-0 was 2017 & he had 6 TD’s & 1 INT.

He proceeded to go 7-7 with with 23 TDs & 10 INT.

Of course they missed the playoffs because he was bad in two must win games down the stretch.

    That’s Stafford.

    Give it time.

You mean 2017, with the Lions 32nd ranked rushing attack, 27th ranked Defense and 6th ranked passing attack?

The Lions went 3-1 the last month. And they would have made the playoffs if Golden Tate’s arms were 2 inches longer.

    Yep, all Stafford s fault

    zn@znramsfan
Plus here is the percentage of the time the Lions threw the ball when behind in 2017: 53.8%. In contrast in 2017 Rams threw the ball 27.25% when behind. Combine bad D, no run, throwing behind a high percent of the time, & opposing Ds always knew Lions had to throw

Stafford already matched Goff’s 15-yard TD total from 2020
Matthew Stafford threw two 50-plus-yard touchdown passes in the season opener against the Bears, which matched Jared Goff’s total from the season prior. He added another 16-yard touchdown pass on Sunday against the Colts, bringing his season total of touchdown passes that traveled at least 15 yards to three.

Incredibly, that tied the same number of such touchdown throws that Goff had in 2020. It just goes to show how much more aggressive the Rams are being under Stafford.

Edit: That’s from Cameron DaSilva. Sorry.

Stafford’s searched for homes in Indianapolis prior to trade from Lions to Rams

    No.

That apostrophe does not go there.

Sorry. I’m grading papers right now.
