    Looks like it’s still pouring rain at the Rams’ facility. That means their padded and most important practice will take place in that makeshift airplane hangar sitting in their parking lot, on asphalt. It really hardly rains in SoCal. Of all weeks, it rains on this one.

    Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, on his son, Wes, who is Washington’s tight ends coach: “Wes is a young offensive coach who knows Sean McVay, if anyone is looking for a head coach.”

    Joking aside, Phillips said he was connected to McVay through his son Wes, who coached with McVay in Washington. “Wes told me all about him. All the great things about him, Wes had already said. He said he was going to be a great head coach and really had command of a room.”

    McVay says the Rams will try to practice outside today, despite the rain, but the tent is an option, if needed. Says the Rams won’t let the weather be an excuse this week.

    Rams DC Wade Phillips says Drew Brees isn’t just one of the best of all-time, he’s having one of his best seasons. “You’ve got to be able to play your technique really well.”
