I was critical that the Rams signed this guy last year, I thought he was too old…. I was very wrong..didn’t realize how great he plays.
Loved watching this guy dominate last year. Unsung in last season’s success, he was one the main reasons that the Rams won games last year.
May 1, 2018 at 12:47 pm #85797InvaderRamModeratorit’d be nice if he could play two more years.

Kristen Lago
For many players, making the NFL Network’s Top 100 list just once in their careers is considered an honor. But to crack the Top 100 rankings in consecutive seasons, let alone in each of the eight years since it was first released, is a unique distinction reserved for only the league’s best.
Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is among that group, as one of just 11 players to hold the eight-year streak. He became the third Rams player named to the list this year — joining left tackle Andrew Whitworth (No. 87) and cornerback Marcus Peters (No. 79) at No. 61 overall.
Since entering the league as the second overall pick in the 2010 draft, the Nebraska product has been one of the NFL’s most dominant defensive forces. Through eight seasons, Suh has amassed 51.5 career sacks, five Pro Bowl appearances, and three First-Team All Pro designations.
He came to Los Angeles this offseason as a free agent, signing a one-year deal with the franchise. And in 2018, he will join defensive tackles Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers to form what is expected to be one of the most formidable defensive fronts in the league.
The NFL Network will continue to air its “Top 100 Players of 2018” series every week, leading up to the final 10 athletes on Monday, June 25. Episodes will air live on NFL Network every Monday at 5 p.m. PT.

May 22, 2018 at 9:34 am #86413znModeratorCB Aqib Talib Makes Third-Straight Appearance on NFL’s Top 100 List
Kristen Lago
Cornerback Aqib Talib was voted by his peers as the No. 53 player on the NFL’s 2018 Top 100 — becoming the fourth Rams player to appear on the list this year.
Highly regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the league, the Kansas product continues to play at an elite level even headed into his 11th NFL season. Talib’s 34 career interceptions are the most by any cornerback since he was drafted in 2008. Plus, his 10 career pick-sixes are the most among any active defensive back and the third-most in NFL history.
Before joining Los Angeles this offseason, the dynamic corner had an impressive four-year run with the Broncos — consisting of four Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl Championship in the 2015 season.
This year, he is expected to join Marcus Peters in the Rams’ secondary to form one of the most elite cornerback tandems in the NFL.
The 2018 Top 100 List marks Talib’s fourth-career and third-straight appearance. Left tackle Andrew Whitworth, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, and Peters were also named Top 100 players earlier this month.
The NFL Network will continue to air its “Top 100 Players of 2018” series every week, leading up to the final 10 athletes on Monday, June 25. Episodes will air live on NFL Network every Monday at 5 p.m. PT.

We’re at 5?
And no Gurley yet, and no Donald.
I…don’t know. I would have to guess Donald would be rated higher than Gurley because Donald’s numbers aren’t just the best in the NFL for a DT, they are historically good. Gurley is a great player, but Donald’s production is historically rare.

No it’s not at 5. It’s at 31-40. It is the 5th player who is a Ram. There was Whitworth, Peters, Suh, Talib, and…now a 5th one.

June 4, 2018 at 10:40 pm #87051znModeratorGoff Earns First-Career Appearance on NFL’s Top 100 List
Kristen Lago
In 2017, the entire Rams roster experienced an incredible turnaround under first-year head coach Sean McVay. But perhaps the most impressive year-to-year development came from quarterback Jared Goff, who recorded 3,804 passing yards and 28 touchdowns, with just seven interceptions.
And while his stat line from 2017 was significant enough, many outside of the building expect Goff to be even better in 2018 — as evident from his first career appearance on the NFL’s Top 100 List.
The annual ranking system is determined by current NFL players and is based on an athlete’s projected performance for the next season. At No. 38, the Cal product became the fifth Ram to be named to the list, joining teammates Andrew Whitworth (No. 87), Marcus Peters (No. 79), Ndamukong Suh (No. 61) and Aqib Talib (No. 53).
Last season, Goff developed as a true leader on the Rams offense, effectively distributing the ball to a wide variety of receivers, while appearing more poised and confident on field. Not only did he finish with the league’s fifth-highest passer rating (100.5), but he also led the NFL with 12.9 yards per completion.
In his second year under McVay’s guidance and flanked by familiar faces at several different positions, Goff is projected to continue his development into one of the league’s brightest young quarterbacks.
The NFL Network will continue to air its “Top 100 Players of 2018” series every week, leading up to the final 10 athletes on Monday, June 25. Episodes will air live on NFL Network every Monday at 8 p.m. ET.

Who are the NFL’s best players?
Who is the best quarterback? Top pass rusher? Receiver?
The debate is settled with my 2018 list of Top 100 NFL players, a list that looks back at the 2017 season, but also ahead to 2018.…
3 Aaron Donald
LOS ANGELES RAMS DE
The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is a force on the inside and should be even better this year with more help next to him in Ndamukong Suh. The Rams need to make him the highest-paid defensive player in the league.12 Todd Gurley
LOS ANGELES RAMS RB
He was special in 2017, putting up big numbers running it and catching it out of the backfield. He should again be a legitimate MVP candidate.51 Ndamukong Suh
LOS ANGELES RAMS DT
He never lived up to the money in Miami, but he was still a heck of a player on their line. Now he gets to play next to Aaron Donald, which might make him even better.59 Marcus Peters
LOS ANGELES RAMS CB
He plays a cocky brand of corner, but he usually backs it up. A change of scenery will be good for him.69 Aqib Talib
LOS ANGELES RAMS DB
This 32-year-old showed last season he still has the tools to be an outstanding cover player. He will be a nice fit with the Rams.75 Andrew Whitworth
LOS ANGELES RAMS T
In his first season with the Rams, he helped steady a line that was in need of it. He continues to be one of the best in the league.97 Jared Goff
LOS ANGELES RAMS QB
After a slow start in his rookie season, he really came on under Sean McVay last year in his second. He will be much higher up this list next year.June 21, 2018 at 6:21 pm #87538znModerator.@TG3II + @AaronDonald97 Land in Top 10 of #NFLTop100

Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and running back Todd Gurley are both among the top 10 in the NFL’s annual list of the top 100 players for 2018.
NFL Media announced the members of the top 10 on Thursday morning, listing them only in alphabetical order. The full rankings will be revealed on Monday during an NFL Network two-hour special beginning at 5 p.m. PT.
Donald played in only 14 games in 2017, but was still named the AP Defensive Player of the Year after recording 11.0 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, 27 quarterback hits, five forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. The Pitt product’s fourth season continued a run of dominance to begin his career, as he’s now registered 39.0 sacks since 2014. He’s made the Pro Bowl in all four years and has been named a first-team All-Pro each season since 2015. This is Donald’s fourth career appearance on the Top 100, but his first time landing in the top 10.As is well known, Gurley had a tremendous bounce-back season in 2017, finishing with a league-leading 2,093 yards from scrimmage, 19 total touchdowns, and 13 rushing touchdowns. He also finished second with 1,305 yards rushing and led L.A. with 64 receptions en route to winning his first AP Offensive Player of the Year award. Gurley was also named a first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career. It’s Gurley’s second appearance on the top 100 and also his first time in the top 10.
