Les Snead at Rams trade event, on Aaron Donald: “The end of the timeline is, we’re going to make Aaron Donald a Ram for a long time.”

In ’84, Rams traded 1st-round pick for Gary Green, an All-Pro CB, and traded 2nd-rounder for Ron Brown, Olympic sprinter turned WR/returner. Third-rounder went for David Hill, brother of L.A. broadcasting legend Jim Hill.

Rams history…the only time in franchise history they didn’t draft in the first or second round was 1984, when their initial pick was in the fifth(!) round.

Stan Kroenke is spending, that’s for sure. Rams have, by far, the least amount of cap space in the league. But yes, they still could structure a new Aaron Donald contract and make it work. A new Joyner deal would help also.

I think we all will feel a huge relief when Aaron Donald is signed to a long-term deal. This has been in the back of our minds for a long time.
