BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A Los Angeles Rams player accused of having a loaded firearm in his vehicle, accepted a plea deal.
Ethan Colby Westbrooks pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of carrying a firearm on Friday. Westbrooks was sentenced to one day in jail, three years probation and will have to pay $570 in fines.
Westbrooks got credit for time served.
Westbrooks was pulled over in Kern County back in September 2017 on Interstate 5, north of 7th Standard Road. California Highway Patrol officers say they discovered a loaded gun and ammo in the vehicle.
Westbrooks is a defensive tackle with the Rams, who played at San Francisco the night before his arrest.
