    With the trades, and keeping core players together, makes me worry about the future of the OLine. How are we going to protect Goff for the next few years.

    Well full scale OL acquisition mode can include several types of actions at once.

    * draft developmental guys rounds 3-6
    * pick up young players other teams cut (I call these “ronin”)…like Barksdale and Blythe
    * UDFAs
    * older veteran cast-offs, like Garrett Reynolds was
    * budget market FAs

    You need that first round for a left oT though.

    Rams 99/2000 OL:

    Pace: Rams high 1st round pick (in case you didn’t know that)
    Nutten: originally a Buffalo 7th rounder, with the Rams a “ronin” pick-up in his 4th year
    Gruttadauria: originally a Dallas UDFA, with the Rams a “ronin” pick-up
    McCollum: originally a New Orleans UDFA, bargain free agent Saints didn’t re-sign
    Timmerman: originally a Green Bay 7th round pick, with the Rams a high-market free agent
    Miller: Rams 5th round pick

    Lots of ways to build an OL.

    Counting just how they were acquired by their first teams: that’s a 5th rounder, 2 7th rounders, 2 UDFAs, and the first pick in the 1997 draft.

    Here is Sullivan’s contract. Doesn’t look like they are bringing Williams and Lucas back. Right now we have no long term answers on the offensive line.
