i really feel like the suh donald combo will work.

of course i said that about the donald quinn combo. but injuries really derailed that. hopefully, suh and donald stay healthy.

i’m not too concerned about the dirty play. all things being equal could i live without it? of course. i’d rather he just leave that stuff out. but ultimately, i don’t think it’s going to hurt the team too much.

nor am i too concerned about comments that he took plays off. i think when you play as many snaps as he has your body will wear down. and you will take more plays off. i anticipate that suh will play less snaps with the rams and will therefore be fresher during games.

i am concerned about comments that he freelanced way too much in the defense. i guess we’ll just have to see. if the defense is playing great, maybe he won’t feel the need to play outside the system? i don’t know. was his freelancing in the past the product of playing on a mediocre defense and him feeling the need to make a play? i don’t know.

but when you have three defensive linemen on first and second down. who all three command a double team. don’t know how that can be a bad thing.

i will say that i always liked suh. even back to when it was suh bradford in the 2010 draft. even despite all the dirty plays. i always felt he was a great player. always imagined what it would be like with him as a ram. so i’m glad they got him to sign.
