Snead is asked if he is able to sit back with a cigar because the Rams have the coach and quarterback settled. He says the league will humble you if sit back with a cigar, but “There is an element of relief.”

Les Snead: “We’re definitely aware that we have that franchise tag… we might have to use it strategically.” Uses the verb “juggle” to describe trying to retain Watkins, Joyner and TJohnson.

#Rams GM Les Snead: This year we might have to use that strategically. We don’t know yet. All 3 were important to our success last year.

Les Snead on WR Josh Reynolds: “He can wow you with some of those catches.” Says he’s really excited about him, “No matter who the first three receivers are.”

Les Snead steps up to podium and jokes “we should probably just do this March 14” as he undoubtedly braces for general Peters questions. #Rams #NFLCombine

Will be interesting to see #Rams Pharoh Cooper assume – and expand on – the role Sean McVay created for Tavon Austin last year

Cooper is a better, more powerful, instinctual runner than Austin (on sweeps & out of backfield) and a better WR. Will add to that role

What role was that? 2nd leading rusher out of back field & on jet sweeps. Jet sweep action (decoy), receiver from slot & out of backfield.

The Rams are trying to sign Aaron Donald now, but they have Todd Gurley next year and Jared Goff the year after that. And that affects everything.

“We can’t go into the candy shop and buy all the candy, because we’ve still got dinner a little later.”

Yeah, I don’t know about that. More powerful, perhaps. But I think there is a dropoff. Just not a dropoff that matters much…certainly not $10 million worth, or whatever it is.

Snead hasn’t done a lot this offseason, but I like what he has done. Hope it’s a 3rd for Quinn. That would be pretty great.
