I actually own the DVD of Blade Runner and I’ve started to watch it many times but for whatever reason, I never saw the whole thing. It’s not that it was bad or anything…I just never seem to have finished it. I’ll have to conquer that before I see the sequel.

I hope to see it tonight. I rewatched the original a couple weeks ago as preparation.

I saw it the other night.

    It’s very good.

It’s also a little weird and unexpected. The trailers would have you think it’s an action movie. It is not.

It’s also not like the first movie. It doesn’t have the “Sam Spade” movie vibe of the original.

Because it’s so different may explain why it’s not doing well at the box office.

But it’s very much worth seeing. My wife, who was sorta ‘meh’ about the original, LOVED this film.

    Spoiler alert

I saw it. I thought it was awful.

Typical blockbuster. Big on slick. Small on character development.

And the climax reminded me of a 60’s Batman tv-show climax. I mean, seriously, the water rising, while the two characters are battling… (eyeroll)

None of the characters were interesting, none of the plot was interesting.

About the only thing that was watchable for me was the old whiskey-drinking dog.

And i liked the original a lot.
