Light a Candle in Memory of Sandy Hook Student Benjamin Wheeler on His Birthday, Sept. 12
    From Ben’s Lighthouse:

Friday, September 12th would have been Benjamin Wheeler’s 8th birthday. Please join us as we remember Benny and the other children and educators lost at Sandy Hook School with light.

    Ben loved lighthouses.

To share the light of Ben’s beautiful spirit and to join with each other in love this week, place a candle safely in a window, doorway, or porch on the evening of 9/12. Let the light shine in the darkness as you think of Ben, the Wheeler family, and all the families who have lost a loved one due to violence. The tiny lights will join together to glow brightly across the world as they represent lighthouses.

Ideas include using a real candle, an LED candle, an electric window candle, a luminary, a lighthouse lamp, etc.

If you’d like to share a picture of your light for Ben, please post it in the comments below with your town, state, and country (if needed).
