If people want to do the chat room just let us know. Not sure how many people are that interested in this game. Or maybe this thread will do. We’ll see.

i got a bad feeling. the pats d is supposed to be good. i don’t know. never saw them outside of the rams game. but on paper they look good. and they got a good qb.

    that falcons d seems shaky.

Yeah the patz d is good. Not star-studded but steadily effective.

    Atlanta lead.

Yeah, running game. 85 yards so far on just 8 carries.

Julio Jones beat 2-Man technique twice on that drive. With a safety over the top and the CB playing inside-man technique, the Patriots have the scheme to “take away” Jones. However, the Falcons WR still beat the coverage on the dig route (square-in) and the deep out.

So far so good if you like Atlanta!

    Though there’s this:

Never thought I’d be looking up this, but Tom Brady is 2-3 as a starter when trailing by 21+ points in the first half.

40% is not a bad comeback rate.

Robert Alford’s pick-six: The Patriots ran the “Follow” route out of a bunch alignment. A shallow crosser paired with an angle route. Alford worked over the traffic and put his eyes on QB Tom Brady. Break downhill on the throw. Falcons jump to a 21-0 lead over the Patriots late in the second quarter.

Never thought the Patriots would turn it over like this, but it’s the second time in three playoff games New England has had two first-half turnovers. Never happened during the regular season.

wonder if the patriots have any adjustments to that running game.

if i’m shanny, i try to run them into the ground. stay aggressive but try and wear them down.

if this was anybody other than the Patriots making this many mistakes, including a missed PAT, we’d say they were choking like dogs.

Shanahan looks like a genius tonight.

Let’s see if he looks this smart next year in SF without Matty Ice, Julio Jones, Freeman, etc

it’d be nice if shanny could look like a genius just one more time.

just once more. and then he can suck when he goes to the niners.

The problem with Ryan has been that he’s not clutch.

Having big leads all year doesn’t let you learn to be clutch.

Let’s hope he does have some clutch in him.
