Fisher runs Gurley 40 times and the game ends like the Denver vs KC did last week, except Fisher runs the clock down before the FG miss and it ends in a tie.

    Rams are 13 point dogs.

This is just the type of game they show up and cover the spread.

    Heck–they may even win.

But I don’t know how it will go after last week. Will the team pack it in? Are they looking for next year? Or are they REALLY pissed off and looking for blood?

I think Goff will struggle a bit in this one. New England defense is much better than the Saints.

Rams play inspired, rowdy football, and it works for a half.

And then Belichick simply outcoaches Fisher, and Brady outplays the rookie.

Hekker booms a 90 yarder… due to the Pats over-inflating the rams balls.

    Rams 20
    Pats 31

And after the game, Pats fans ask “whats wrong with the Pats, they only
    scored 31 on the Rams”

    The Rams win.

That’s just what they do. They lose to 5 mediocre teams, then rise up and beat the best teams.

That is kinda their MO…but the Pats MO is to not allow the lesser teams to rise up against them.

I think Goff has a decent game against a suspect Pats D but it won’t be enough.

    Pats – 27
    Rams – 19

Okay, well, if you hate the Rams so much, why don’t you just move to Seattle?

Now that just hurts…well, at least you didn’t tell me to move to San Fran cause then I would have to seek you out.

I think the Rams can win, and will win. Yep, crazy. THE D didn’t get bad in one week….that thinking is for 13 year old girls.

Also, history says when team gives up 40+ they come back and play great.

They shut down Carolina, the Giants and the Dolphins (mostly). Those offenses scare me more than Brady.
Upset players is important for focus and motivation. Tru Jo and a few others missed tackles….they slacked off….that simple

Bill Belly dominates rookie QBs, that is my only fear in this game. They will bliltz in ways that Goff can’t concieve.

    Who have the Pats beaten?

I think it was a little more than missed tackles and slacking off.

They had no answer for the TE’s
They were gashed by the running back
The screens pass was open all game
They allowed 3rd and long completions

I think Brees had a lot to do with getting NO in the correct play call to offset the call GW was putting the D in.

I believe in a team being flat and I do believe that was a big part of what happened but I also believe a great QB can get their team in the correct sets to expose the D.

Just got back from North Korea via Seattle, looking at dwellings when I noticed I wasn’t too far off.

    Actual score

    Pats – 26
    Rams – 10

The defense has looked terrible against two of the best offenses. Now they face a third good offense. It aint gonna be pretty.

It is the same defense that looked pretty bad against the 49ers, you may recall. The ONLY game the 49ers have won all year.

    Who will win the rematch?

I cannot wait to see that game. All the epic 9er/Rams battles over the decades! This one promising to be among the most tightly contested fiascos in that proud history.

True, zooey. All the rest of the games leading up to that one
are just insignificant. Its all about the rematch.

I actually thought the D did an admirable job. I know the Pats were a little shorthanded but that’s life.

If the Rams O could have mounted any kind of attack this score would have been a lot closer…even though I realize they called off the dogs in the 4th, I still believe this to be true.

Yeah I was pretty happy with the way the defense played against the Pats sans that 43 yd TD run on 4th and 1. The defense got no help from the offense so they were on the field a lot but they played hard the entire game. They didn’t really wear down.

If the Rams had just a competent offense that would have been a close game.

Yah…that was brutal, but if I had a complaint I would say it appeared the run was open to the outside the entire game. I would love to know if that was a scripted play…run up the middle to get everybody to crash then kick it back outside…it sure seemed like it was a planned play.

The Rams need to tighten up the run D and get Mo to figure out he’s not ice skating that he is supposed to at least try and tackle one on one then that D can be pretty strong.

I will say, I wanted to see more blitzing, but then I think I say that every week…so, maybe I don’t have a clue.
