Wow, the Rams kick 11 Field Goals?
Would that be a record setter?
Record for field goals by one team in a game: 8. Tennessee, 2007. http://www.profootballhof.com/football-history/most-field-goals-in-a-game/
I knew 11 was ridiculous, didn’t know it was 8. Thanks.
A lot of those 8 were pretty short; 20 and 30 yards. Tenn must have had Ramitis. Get to red zone, and stall.
I had such high expectations during Zuerleins rookie camp. Reports coming out of FG’s of 60, 65 yards, with enough steam to have been good from 70.
I can remember thinking at the time, “Geeze, all they gotta do on offense is get a little past mid field. If they don’t convert a 3rd down at that point, no big deal. At least the 3 points is automatic”.
Ah, well. It’s good to have hope, I think. If you don’t have hope, what DO you have?
Could come down to kicking game tomorrow. If it was Josh Brown vs. Greg, maybe a coin toss for who comes out the winner. Now with Brown not playing, perhaps Gould ain’t in sync yet with the snap and hold. Maybe 8 “missed” FG’s???
