Saffold’s cap hit this year is $5,656,250. Or, in proper notation form, 5.6+ M.

I don’t think cutting him would be worth losing what he brings as a veteran lineman, even if he only brings it for 7 games.

Between RS and Reynolds, they have 2 vets who can back up 4 spots…everything but center.

    Makes the OL more flexible.

Though by now RS is a post-surgical cyborg.

With all his ambulance experience, RS should be able to get a job as an ambulance driver once his nfl career is over.

What would it cost to cut him?

They would save $2,656,250. Or, in the preferred tongue, 2.5+ M.

Keeping Safffold means, they can be well covered for in game injures.(Reynolds helps with this too.) They can safely activate just 7 Oline if they want. They can have the same 9(even maybe 10) Oline under contract for the next 3 years(or 8 for 4 years.), at low cost. He just needs to be healthy.
