I would have liked to sack Kap more, but his benching will have to suffice for my internal satisfaction. I enjoyed beating the Seahawks more … but the 9ers are always a joy to pound into the ground.

This is obviously the team that Fisher has been trying to make since he got here, and I get it now. We’re scary. We have 2 guys on offense that can go the distance any play, and who can wear you out grinding down the field. We have scary players at every level of the defense. The psychological affect of playing us makes the players on our team better. We need a #1 WR, and I’d like to upgrade our TE, but I understand now. I get it.

The Great

1) I think we may have the best RB in the NFL. I almost got whiplash when he emerged from the hole on the 71 yarder. I just started hysterically laughing and my kids freaked out because they thought I was having a fit of some kind. Keep him fresh, give him good backups, and we have a 2500 yard back.

2) Austin making plays. I picked him up in fantasy, that’s what Ive wanted a long time. Relevant WR, even though he’s a gadget play.

The Good

3) DBs, across the board. TJ Mcleod JJ Tru Joyner and the introduction of MO-AL … loved every part of it. What WR is like “Hey, I’m looking forward to playing the Rams, where every catch is going to take a year off my life.”

4) Ayers sighting too. Playing faster in the system.

5) Is it just me, or are those rookies better playing next to each other? Crazy. We still need a center in the draft, but here’s to our O line not losing us games right now. Tough test next week so I’ll save some praise in case they make me eat it.

6) Cook made more plays than not. He’s still likely toast unless he does that every game here on out.

7) Brockers and Westbrooks with the sacks? The whole front is active, knows how to get home.

8) Barron at LB, I think we may actually be seeing our future right now. We can probably have him for pretty cheap because he’s a hybrid.

9) Fairley is playing well, and I had almost written him off.

The Bad

10) No passing rhythm. Just isn’t there. Every positive play is a surprise.

11) Dropped INT opportunities.

12) Still have issues covering TEs … why? We have athletes?

13) Britt had 2-3 opportunities and didn’t make something happen. I need one a game from him to justify his being the starter.

14) Speaking of that where is Quick?

The Unfortunate

15) Our DBs are up for contract, and all playing lights out. How are we not going to lose at least 2? Barron, JJ, Tru, Mcleod … right? Ugh. Then Hayes and Sims too? CL will likely ask to take a pay cut to keep extras. JL too if we’re lucky.
