You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don’t need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free…
That’s what I thought happened to you. I thought you just slipped out the back.
But you didn’t, so I’m glad.
Glad that your back, Jack.
So, no shot at all against Green Bay? Hmmm.
I said no way they beat the Seahawks, and had to eat crow the first week of the season. Tasted terrible and delicious all at the same time. I thought no way they beat Arizona. I thought it, but didn’t say it, so no crow had to be eaten.
I don’t know, after seeing the way they played the 2nd half last week, I saw a new dimension to the team that I hadn’t seen for a loooooong time. The offense imposed its will against a pretty good team, and closed the game out. Something happened after the hit to Fitzgerald when he coughed the ball up, and the Rams got the ball back. That’s when Gurley lit his afterburners, and it seemed like everyone got a shot of confidence. Things started clicking, and plays were made.
If they can keep the run game going, and keep Rodgers on the sidelines, I could actually see a close game here.
