Rams off the practice field following Tuesday’s OTA. Not practicing: WR Damian Williams, S T.J. McDonald, S. Mark Barron…RB Todd Gurley (who again did work on the side), CB Brandon McGee, OT Steven Baker, OG Cody Wichmann, TE Alex Bayer.

The offense, which struggled last week, fared much better Tuesday although there were some hiccups during a red zone period.

Fisher said McDonald went through “an ordeal” earlier in the offseason. Apparently he has suffered a leg injury.

With both McDonald and Barron sitting out at Tuesday OTA, Eureka High product Maurice Alexander worked with starting defense.

Rams off the practice field on Tuesday. List of non-participants same as last week but notable addition of S Mark Barron.

With Barron and S T.J. McDonald sitting, Maurice Alexander got some work with first-team defense at strong safety.

Fisher declined to clarify McDonald’s injury, referred to it as an “ordeal” but says McDonald will be ready for camp.

Hot day here in Earth City for Rams OTA No. 5. Spoke to DROY Aaron Donald after practice who’s looking forward to being better this year.

Donald said he took a lot of time to study himself on film and learned a lot from it. Focused on both rushing passer, stopping run.

.@JOEL9ONE on Donald: “For my dollar, he’s the best D-tackle in football as far as rushing the passer and being disruptive.”

yeah. donald strikes me as that rare type. elite athleticism. high level of maturity at a young age. super competitive.

if chris long does leave, donald becomes the leader of this defense. if he isn’t already.
