New England dominated that game in the 1st half and in the 4th quarter.
I was pulling for Seattle, but other than Marshawn Lynch’s 102 rushing day….., Seattle offense didn’t do much .
Seattle was 3 for 10 on 3rd downs, and that included the lucky rebound tipped catch by Kearse which was 3rd and 10 with 70 seconds left that put Seattle in position to win the game…..
Russell Wilson only completed 12 passes (12 for 21)
Special Teams, New England had 76 return yards on kick returns and punt returns, Seattle had 6.
Seattle’s strength, it’s defense, gave up 14 unanswered points in the 4th quarter where New England held the ball for 8 minutes in the final quarter with no real running game.
As much as I’m not a fan of New England, and I was rooting for the NFC West, the ending was fitting because the better team won, it was an outstanding interception by Butler……
Not only did Pete Carroll or Darell Bevell have the wrong call to potentially win the game, they didn’t have very many good calls to sustain a drive……
If anything was Looney Tunes about the ending, it was seeing Kurt Warner walk with the Lombardi trophy and award it to New England………..
