    from Brock Vierra, https://www.si.com/nfl/rams/onsi/los-angeles-free-agency-mailbag-who-will-les-snead-target-come-monday

When it comes to the receiver room, why Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, and Xavier Smith didn’t take a dramatic jump in production remains a mystery, considering all three were balling out in preseason and training camp.

While I didn’t expect them to become bona fide starters last season, I expected a bit more. I also believe all three are underutalized and Mumpfield has been playing out of position for a while, but that’s my two cents. Addressing the position would mean the team would have to add a meaningful addition and I only see that happening during the draft.

Rams’ Best Catches From The 2025 Season

The Rams now basically have 1) no holes on the roster, 2) draft capital to play with and 3) a history of trying to trade UP for players in the last couple of drafts.

    Albert Breer@AlbertBreer
The Rams had a hole at corner, and now have filled it with Chiefs imports Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson. And they still have the 13th pick, and their slotted second- and third-rounders intact.

(That Atlanta trade from last April worked out.)

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
The @Rams secondary looks crazy good with Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson and Kam Curl.

But even more so when you think about how well they rush the passer.

Yeah, it would not surprise me at all to see them trade up, now.

    Or down. Or anything, really.

I would think that this would make a WR the number one priority now. They’re really in a BPA position.

Chiefs lost their safety Bryan Cook to the Bengals.

Apparently, the Chiefs are just gonna play Defensive Linemen and Linebackers. Spags is tricky that way.

I don’t know about that. McCaffrey is better than Williams. Corum may be better than Robinson.

Cardinals apparently “struck out” with Jimmy G, my sense is Jimmy wants to be back with Sean McVay and the Rams. They’re in talks to bring him back. Anything can happen but he should be back.

    That’s interesting.

I mean… AZ is not a desirable destination at this point because they suck and there would be a lot of losing, and then AZ will draft a QB next year anyway. In LA, there’s a chance of starting for a Super Bowl contender. Less money, I would think, but better situation. I don’t suppose, at this point, that he’s going to have years and money offered to him. Nobody is desperate enough, I wouldn’t think, to give him any security. I had just kind of assumed he would be gone this offseason, but I think I just explained to myself why he’s staying.

    from https://theramswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/rams/2026/03/10/rams-offseason-grades-free-agency-trades/89082017007/

Sign [long snapper] Joe Cardona to 2-year deal
    Grade: A

We don’t yet know the numbers on his contract, but the Rams were wise to add such a veteran, reliable long snapper. Cardona is a two-time Super Bowl champion and as a graduate of the Naval Academy, he’s an exceptional leader on special teams, too. He was a multi-year captain for the Patriots, which shows how highly regarded he was in New England.

Jeezus H cHrIsT. 100 million for a stature of a football player??

This country is like a bad post-apocalypse-novel.

I would prefer to see a bunch of Kurt’s favorite sunday-school kids make a life-size, day-glo, multi-color, playdough model of him. Seriously.

I didn’t even catch that. I’m gonna now backtrack that post because that cannot be true. Also, my feed is loaded with bogus Rams stuff, clickbaity trades that are fantasies passed off as real in the headlines, and this reeks of that kind of thing. There ain’t no way Kroenke would spend $100 million on a statue. Nobody would. Unless it was government money and went inside the new Trump Memorial in Washington DC.

Just for fun, I offer a slight and doubtless pedantic correction. An unnecessarily expensive statue would be a trope from dyspotian fiction. In post-apocalyptic, they can’t afford expensive statues. Or any statues.

It’s about time somebody told off wv. He’s been getting away with nonsense like this for decades.

Well, i get those two periods confused. What was the 2008 St.Louis Rams Oline — was that dystopian or post-apocalyptic?

    It was both.

There are dystopian/post-apocalyptic overlaps. Like Atwood’s Oryx and Crake.

Dystopian is a bad future civilization.

Post-apocalyptic follows the collapse of civilization. Think of The Road Warrior.

So the Rams had a bad administration in 2008, plus the offensive line got killed off. So it’s both.
