znModeratorFalcons play the Commandos. We have eyes on that. Eagles play the Buxx. That’ll mean something down the road for the Rams. Packers take on Cowboys, that ought go exactly as we assume it will.
Oh and this is not added by edit or anything, but my big prediction is that the Giants will lead the Chargers through at least the 3rd quarter. It’s just a hunch that comes from my famously uncanny football instincts.

wvParticipant49ers played bad and the Jags played bad, and the 49ers lost.
I watched Purdy throwing the ball and If i were the GM of the 49ers I would only draft WR’s who were as big as Terrell Owens. Because Purdy has a habit of throwing the ball high and getting his WR’s kilt.
Purdy kinda reminds me of Jeff Garcia. Tough. A gamer. Solid. But limited. Not a great QB.

Well what I assumed was that the Packers would demolish Dallas.
So it did not go as I assumed.
40-40 tie in overtime.

wvParticipantSeahawks have allowed the fewest points in the NFL through four games, fwiw.

wvParticipantI thought J.Dart looked like an excellent prospect for the Giants. He’s decisive. And quick.
Giants lost M. Neighbors for the season though. ACL.

wvParticipant49er injury:
Ricky Pearsall (WR): Suffered a knee injury after a hard fall on the sideline in the third quarter, which caused pain and instability, leading him to sit out the remainder of the game.September 29, 2025 at 1:11 pm #158321
wvParticipant“..Nick Bosa injury looms large
The 49ers defense wasn’t bad against the Jaguars, but the cracks showed with Bosa out. Their pass rush was nonexistent. San Francisco was credited with zero quarterback hits and zero sacks. Jacksonville also had its way on the ground with 151 yards on 32 carries overall. If we remove all three Trevor Lawrence kneel downs at the end of the game the Jags went for 156 yards on 29 attempts.”

wvParticipant‘I will end your f—king life’: 49ers coach reportedly threatens Jaguars coach
By Alex Simon, Sports Editor

When Jacksonville Jaguars coach Liam Coen approached San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh and chirped at the assistant to “keep my name out of your mouth,” Saleh reportedly replied by threatening to “end your f—king life.”..The dust-up was sparked by comments made by Saleh on Thursday, when he said Coen and the Jaguars staff are among the best in the NFL at stealing opponents’ signs and signals. While Saleh stressed it was all legal stuff, using the specific “sign stealing” term raised eyebrows around the NFL and forced a visibly annoyed Coen to reply in his Friday press conference…

Update: The 2025 Seahawks in Macdonald’s second year, like the 2023 Ravens in Macdonald’s second year, now rank first in the NFL in Defensive DVOA.October 1, 2025 at 9:28 am #158398
wvParticipantSaw a ‘First Things First’ vid where Nick Wright was talking about the Cohen vs Saleh flare-up. The issue involved sign stealing.
Wright mentioned that Cohen was part of the McVay branch and Saleh was part of the Shannahan branch.
And that part of the background to the flare-up was that McVay-branch folks are known to be good at figuring out other teams signs.

wvParticipantThe Ravens were heavy favorites over the Texans. Lamar got hurt (might miss the Ram game) and the betting spread shifted NINE points. Texans now favored.
I dont think i ever remember a spread shift that much because of one injury.

ZooeyModeratorThis is from the NY Post, and I am feeling old, tired, and sad because this kind of bullshit has moved from the quiet periphery into the blaring mainstream. Give me a f—— break, already.
Good Bunny, Bad Bunny; Danica Patrick wants no bunny at the Super Bowl halftime show.
While commenting on another account’s post about the Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, Patrick criticized the idea of having him perform on stage in Santa Clara, Calif., for the pinnacle of television in America.
“Oh fun,” the former race car driver said on X. “No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year … not just for sports.”
Bad Bunny had previously canceled tour dates in America out of fear they would be infiltrated by ICE agents.
“But there was the issue of — like, f‑‑‑ing ICE could be outside [my concerts],” he told i-D magazine. “And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”
Patrick also re-posted a wild claim that Bad Bunny was a “demonic Marxist” who was being given the Super Bowl 2026 halftime platform.
The 43-year-old has not been shy about discussing her political beliefs and leanings.

wvParticipantNFL analyst Mark Sanchez arrested while he was hospitalized with stab wounds
October 4, 2025INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst Mark Sanchez was arrested Saturday after he was apparently stabbed in an overnight altercation in downtown Indianapolis.
Sanchez, who was in Indianapolis to call Sunday’s Raiders-Colts game, was charged with battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication — all misdemeanors.
Indianapolis police said Sanchez was in a hospital and had not been booked into a detention center. He was in stable condition, according to Fox Sports.
Police said the Marion County prosecutor’s office would make the final charging decision. That office didn’t immediately respond to an inquiry from The Associated Press.
Indianapolis police said earlier in the day that they were investigating a confrontation that occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday between two men, one of whom was hospitalized with stab wounds. The other man received treatment for lacerations, police said.
