Enh, they were in it, mostly due to the defense, but 2 fumbles killed them
And they were in it toward the end…till a false start screwed up their last drive.
But this was not really a super bowl team IMO. They need another good draft.
But on the bright side, when was the last time the Rams got 16 sacks in 2 consecutive games? I don’t think ever…there was a graphic showing post-season sacks, and Rams are tied for 3rd all time.
Last night i re-watched the Rams/Philly game from November and I searched this msg board for the reactions thread to that game…… we all posted that the Rams didn’t measure up to Philly…
Barkley had two huge TD runs in that game..today he had three…. but the Rams measured up today…
I thought they were gonna pull it off, but OL had brain freeze.
Rams need a faster start to the season next year….
Really encouraged by this young Shula defense. Weird to say after giving up long TD’s on the ground today, but that is how I feel.
The offense was really a limiting factor this year. Today they just didn’t play clean football, yet the defense allowed them to hang around. Kyren’s fumbles really were costly this season.
Karty finished the year well. Hopefully there’s a few years of stability at the kicker position now.
I look forward to seeing how the front office addresses the offense this offseason. Hopefully Stafford is good for one more year. If not that changes my outlook entirely.
Yep, the fumbles did them in. They still almost won the game.
They played much better against Philly than I thought they would, going in. Agreed, that they need another strong draft, serious attention given to run-stuffers, and a true, shut down corner.
Williams has to work on ball security.
Good season, overall. The Rams can return to LA with their heads held high.
