Fun game to watch as a rams fan. Defense, special teams, and just enough offense.

The Vikings just never seemed to be in this game. The Rams just rolled them from the beginning, and then it seemed like the Vikings just gave up, and the Rams just protected their early success and a couple of breaks.

Watching the 4th quarter was, frankly, weird. The Vikings had no urgency. They managed the clock like it was the 2nd quarter in a game against the Colts in September, or something. They just never showed up. And Darnold. He does know he can throw the ball away, right?

I will rewatch the game tomorrow. I had a lousy feed that buffered a lot, and I flat out missed quite a bit of it while tending to other business, but it just looked to me like the Rams came out like they meant it, and then just salted the game away while the Vikings played a game with no meaning.

It feels like the Rams are on House money right now. I’ll take the season as is, although I would obviously like more.

But considering that this season was one more loss away from being over before Pumpkin Spice hit the menu, winning the division, and knocking the crap out of a 14-3 Vikings team in the playoffs feels pretty solid.

Rams took maximum advantage of a so-so Vikings OL.

And it was fun to watch.

OMG. Playoff stomping of the Vikings.

    I shall savor it.

Doesnt change the fact that Tom Mack never moved, though.

Nice to see such a good game against a very good team. The passrush was obviously exceptional, with 9 sacks. D overall was excellent.

On to Philly, and perhaps the best team in the NFL.

…so, is the front four now the ‘strength of the team’? Is it becoming the identity of the Rams?

Maybe it depends on how the front four does against the best OLines. Like Philadelphia. And Detroit.

If they get bludgeoned again, then what do we say about them?

    Eagles are SIX point favorites.

I think thats true. Its been a weird year, but by the time we got to this point, the Rams had gotten to about where we thought they might get. Final four in the NFC.

They are up against-it now, though. I wonder what Bill Belichex would do? Maybe put all their effort into stopping the eagles in the red zone. Seems like that what Belichex always preached when the other team had a talent advantage. Somehow gotta keep the eagles kicking field goals.

This is why i am always the smartest guy in the room. I come up with the big ideas. “Just dont let the Eagles score touchdowns”.

With the way they played yesterday, yeah, Strength of the Team. Which leads to this: How good would they be with Aaron Donald added to the mix? Same guys who played Sunday, plus AD? Sheeesh. It wouldn’t have been fair to the Vikings.

    ;>)

Again, Eagles may be the best team in the NFL, and they certainly have a top three O-line. If the Rams can get to Hurts, it will confirm the D’s stunning success — coaching, player personnel, drafting, etc. It also likely means a Rams’ win.

I was most pleased and encouraged when the Rams intercepted Darnald after the terrible roughing the punter call that kept the Vikings drive alive. At the time, that felt like it could have been a pivotal moment either way. The defense made it a great game to watch. The offense seemed to sputter after Limmer’s redzone penalty. It was nice to see the Allan TD at the end of the half though. This has been a fun season.
