Something I just checked, the last time we beat the Eagles, was January 27, 2002, which was the NFC Title game. That means we lost 10 straight to Philly.

HUGE test on Sunday. The Eagles have the best DL/OL combo in the NFL. The Rams OL has a major challenge ahead of them on Sunday.

The Rams won the last time they played in 2020.

The Eagles have won 7 of 9 since they lost in the Championship game.

None of which means anything since they are completely different teams now.

Well, we have no idea if Kupp is gonna be Kupp.   Or half-Kupp.

If it’s half Kupp then the question becomes is Kupp half empty or half full? Of course how you answer that says more about you than it does about Kupp. An pessimist would say Kupp is half empty and an optimist would say Kupp is half full.

As a realist I say 4 oz of Kupp is better than 8 oz of just about anyone else.

    PARAM

We need a good TOP and chunk plays. We’ve got 21 – 20 yd plays and have allowed 15. Indy had 7 of them. But we had 8. We had 6 against Seattle and Cincinnati, allowing just 3 combined. The game we had only 1, vs SF (who had 5), we still won the TOP with 33:11. So that alone won’t cut it. We have to control the ball AND get chunk plays. And hopefully prevent them.

Our defense hasn’t allowed 250 yards passing yet. In fact, only once over 206. Philly is averaging 226. We did have 2 bad games vs. the run though. 159 vs SF and 133 last week. So really only 1 bad game. McCaffrey had 20 for 116 (5.8). Richardson ran for 56 of the 133, leaving RBs with 21 for 77 (3.6). Now we face a good RB (Swift) and a good running QB. But Hurts has carried 40 times for only 134 (3.3).
