The Rams close their season at Seattle. ILB Ernest Jones said as bad as they wanted the last matchup for Bobby Wagner, they want this as much or more. “It’d mean everything for me. … For me, I definitely want to get him this win. I definitely want him to get the last say-so.”

with Akers one of the biggest difference is the volume or runs. pitches like this one. tosses, traps, inside runs. Not just the outside zone hendo ran well or that McVay just used to run over and over and over with Gurley.
it’s the variation of different runs added by McVay. He didn’t do it until he lost all WRs and couldn’t stay in 3 WRs but he should have changed long ago given the lack of quality 3WRs beside Kupp. Look closer at McVay dude yards in the second half today

Baker Mayfield went 3-for-7 for 35 yards in the second half

Cam Akers and Van Jefferson were really the only two Rams players with solid grades from PFF this week, which feels about right

I’d like to know the full behind the scenes story behind trying to trade Cam Akers but then pivoting to the RB coach leaving and Darrell Henderson getting cut.

This is the first season since PFF has given the award out that someone other than Aaron Donald is going to win Best Pass Rusher. 7 straight seasons.

There’s a chance we have THREE teams with losing records (Jaguars, Titans, Buccaneers) make the playoffs. Only THREE losing teams in @NFL history have made the playoffs in a non-strike season.

Rams OC Liam Coen says he has not yet made a decision about whether he’s going back to Kentucky, though offer is on the table for him to do so. He wants to finish out the season with his guys and then take a few days with his family after that to consider what will be best.

Some fire end-of-year gifts coming for the reigning champs @RamsNFL from Matthew Stafford who had me fly to LA yesterday to fit all 14 of his offensive linemen for their choice of a custom suit or bomber jacket. Continued power moves by these quarterbacks #Rams

LB @Bwagz  needs 10 tackles to break the @RamsNFL single-season record for tackles (142) set by LB James Laurinaitis in 2011 and 2012. He would set the record in his first season with the Rams and against his former team.

    PARAM:

Want to know something depressing? Morris’ defense forced 40 three and outs this year, with highs of 5 (vs Carolina), 5 (@Tampa) and 4 (vs N.Orleans). Our offense has had 52 of them on 157 possessions. That’s 33% of our possessions and more than 3 a game. The only game we didn’t have at least two 3 and outs was Denver. We had at least three in 12 games, 4 or more in 7 games with a high of 8 against…….Tampa
