We already know this, just typing it up.

This season the Rams have played the following at 4 spots:

4 LOTs: Noteboom, Jackson, Nsekhe, Evans

8 OGs: Edwards, Shelton, Anchrum, Jackson, Evans, Aboushi, Brewer, Skura (this not counting Bruss who was hurt in the pre-season)

    3 OC: Allen, Shelton, Kolone

Some guys played more than one spot (Jackson, Evans, Shelton).

The following were all injured at least once, some twice: Noteboom,  Nsekhe, Edwards, Shelton, Anchrum, Brewer, Skura, Allen

A couple who weren’t injured, bizarrely, are also their worst on-field performers: Evans and Kolone. They even benched Evans for Skura at OG, and then Evans had to play LOT off the bench when Nsekhe got hurt. Needless to say no team is 4 deep at LOT.

In the middle of all this mess, some injury replacements have shown promise on the field: Jackson certainly, maybe Brewer, possibly Anchrum (though that was not on the field, he was injured too quickly, but the Rams do apparently see promise in him).

This OL, until Evans came in, played decently in the first half of the Saints game: Nsekhe Skura Allen Aboushi Hav. Decently enough to take the lead. Even though that unit started 3 guys who in-season pick-ups who were not on the roster after the final cut-down to 53.

    I laughed at the picture.

I believe that Eric “Stumpy Joe” Childs had a turn at RG for a short spell.

Now 5 LOTs if Arcuri plays.

I think the NFL is owned and run by some very stupid people. They shell out mountains of cash for players who inevitably get hurt, often seriously, too often losing them for the year. Even if we leave out the dire moral and ethical implications, it’s just moronic to keep doing this without addressing the environment that causes those injuries — bad turf, too many games, not enough time between them, and rules that fail to protect the players.

Endless greed. Sociopaths in charge of it all.

The Rams aren’t just in a period of insanely bad luck. These injuries can be prevented, in some cases, and at least radically reduced overall. The league created golden geese and don’t seem to give a damn about caring for them.
