Some of yuuz guyz are a lot tougher on Stafford than I am. To me, he’s only played one bad game: the Titan game.

The SF game was about the run defense for me. 19-play drives, etc.
Staffords ‘INT’ to Higby was a good pass. His INT to OBJ was not a great
decision, but i basically put it down as miscommunication with a new WR.
Ended up being a punt, essentially. Etc, and so forth.

Losing Akers was huge. Losing Woods was huge. The Oline may be
    wearing down.

It would take a great offense to overcome a porous run defense.
Rams dont have a great offense.

Looks like another wild-card kind of year for McVay.
Pretty good team, but not top-five.

Did folks watch the AZ game?

How many QBs have you seen throw a pick followed by a pick 6 on the very next drive ON BACK-TO-BACK WEEKS????? THATS TONY BANKS ROOKIE SEASON SHIT!!!!

I know I know… Goff is winless without McVay… 0-14…. .. (coincidentally Stafford 14 games under .500 without McVay) but Goff has put a shitty Lions team with a rookie coach in position to win vs the Ravens, Vikes, and in Pittsburgh

BTW When was the last time you seen Stafford roll out? he rarely does because he can’t.

But I guess you guys are right, can’t be too critical of QB who is 9-70+ vs teams with winning records.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!! The Rams will not have the ability to pick a first rounder until??????? and will use their second round picks for players named TUTU…..

well. at first i was disappointed. but comparing him to the rest of the field. he still ranks third in qb rating. he ranks first in total qbr. he also ranks fourth in ypa.

football outsiders ranks him third although it’s possible he moves up after factoring prescott’s last game.

still a long way to go but not bad.

I think some of us are kinda getting a more fine-tuned view of Stafford.

He’s definitely not one of those high-precision, always-accurate
type QBs. Like say, oh, i dunno…Montana, etc.

He can be wild at times, like Goff.

But Stafford threatens the entire field, and he’s ‘accurate enough’
I think. He’s somewhere in the top-ten in the NFL.
Compare Stafford’s performance this year with, say, Mahommes, who
we know is HOF caliber. Or Russell Wilson, also HOF caliber. Or Dak.
Or Lamar Jackson. Or Josh Allen.

I mean, all the top QBs have had bad games this year.

For me, what I’m seeing is mainly problems ‘around’ him.
Oline problems. And now, no Robert Woods which is huge.
And the running game is ok, but not top-ten.

The focus is gonna be on the QB, as per usual, but
this team will go as far as the OLine takes them.

I just now noticed I screwed up in the original post in this thread, and somehow (?) made it look like someone else wrote your quoted bit in that original post.

    I fixed it.

Which reminds me of a joke. There was this bit on facebook, where someone posts a mock quiz and your response is to be only 3 words. The question was this–you come home and all your major relationships from the past are there waiting for you. What do you say, using only 3 words? My response was “I can explain.”

In terms of Stafford. I have a very simple take on that. He had 2 really bad games last year too. That’s not unusual for him.

The OL is a question. Some people think that after an initial good start, Allen has regressed. I hope not.
