I love this from a defensive coach. He gets it. And also speaking from experience. PAP blocks take a certain level of confidence, especially on the front side. You have to sell run and you’re way more confident in your technique if you’ve been running the ball.
You need to stop the feet of the defensive lineman and they have to believe you’re bringing it. If you don’t, they sense pass right away and can attempt to get off the block quicker making you a) scared to sell the run next time and/or b) getting beat quicker
