There’s been A LOT of @JaredGoff16 hate and slander thrown around the last month
What he did today 12 days after surgery is pretty dang impressive man👏👏. Never once hurt the team and made a few big throws in 2nd half. Toughness and leadership 👏👏

All indications are nothing major for #Rams WR Cooper Kupp. Knee contusion. Should be fine.Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
After spending Saturday afternoon at the hospital, Rams’ QB John Wolford returned to LA last night with the team, per source. Both Rams’ QBs, Wolford (neck) and Jared Goff (thumb) are banged up, but in words of one source both “should be OK.”January 10, 2021 at 12:03 pm #126663AgamemnonParticipantJanuary 10, 2021 at 12:07 pm #126664znModeratorHear any news on Edwards. All I know is Evans replaced him in much of the game.
Rams’ David Edwards: Suffers ankle injury
Edwards was forced out of Saturday’s wild-card game against the Seahawks due to an ankle injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
The second-year lineman out of Wisconsin started 14 games this season for the Rams, and he made his first playoff start Saturday.

X-rays on Aaron Donald’s ribs for a break were negative. Team is hopeful he’ll be ready for next weekend. They must have known this during the game, right?
Surely they have x-ray equipment in these stadiums.
Not questioning the decision to hold him out…the game was still in the balance, but I don’t question that decision.

The Rams held the Seahawks to 278 yards yesterday, the 3rd-lowest total by Seattle under Russell Wilson. The Rams became the first team ever to beat Russell Wilson in the playoffs in Seattle.

The Los Angeles Rams received some positive news regarding All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Sunday on NFL GameDay Morning that initial X-rays on Donald’s injured ribs came back negative for a break, per sources informed of the situation. The defensive tackle will undergo an MRI today to determine the extent of the injury.
Garafolo added that Donald could have re-entered the game late if needed in the 30-20 win over Seattle on Saturday.
Donald exited the tilt early in the third quarter after slinging Russell Wilson to the ground. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year hurt his ribs rolling over Wilson and appeared to have trouble breathing on the sideline. Donald took multiple trips to the locker room. He ended the game on the sideline but didn’t re-enter the match as the Rams pulled away with the win.
Coach Sean McVay told Garafolo he’s “hopeful” Donald will be ready for the Divisional Round.
“This guy is an absolute machine,” he said. “Never bet against AD.”
The Rams await the outcome of today’s New Orleans Saints-Chicago Bears bout to ascertain who they will face next weekend. If the Saints win, L.A. will face the No. 1 seeded Green Bay Packers. If the Bears pull the upset, the Rams will fly to Tampa to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

#Seahawks lost despite…– John Wolford getting knocked out of the game and sent to the hospital.
– Jared Goff replacing Wolford and playing 12 days after surgery with three pins in his thumb.
– And Aaron Donald not playing for most of the second half.
No excuses.

One huge note: The Packers lost LT David Bakhtiari last week to a torn ACL. Super unfortunate, but that shakeup on the OL could loom large vs. the Rams’ front-7 and their propensity to use some of the wildest and more creative stunts/blitzes I’ve seen.==

Packers run defense
The running game will be as critical as it was vs. Seattle.
Packers are allowing 4.5 YPC (21st this year, improved from 27th in 2019). They gave up 100+ rushing yards in 11 of 16 games (150+ three times). Football Outsiders https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/nfl/team-defense/2020 rated their run defense 18th overall
Also, Staley knows Rodgers
In Chicago and then Denver Staley faced Rodgers 4 times (Rodgers missed one GB vs. CHI). Green Bay won 3 of 4 games, averaging 25.8 PPG in them.
Rodgers’ numbers:
80/127 (63%), 974 yards, 8 TD, 1 INT, QB Rating 104.3, sacked 9 timesJanuary 11, 2021 at 6:11 pm #126750AgamemnonParticipantYou can't spell @RamsNFL without D. From The Aftermath @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/MaaqdAPMvs

People only know the big names on the defense (Ramsey, Donald, etc), but this defense has developed some seriously strong lowkey stud talent (Dee Will, SJD, Floyd, Troy, JJ3) and then have the role players that play well to boot (A’Shawn, Gaines, Fuller, Fox).jonah@j_oh_NAH
Jalen Ramsey has faced the top three targeted receivers this season, including DHop twice, and still only averaged about 3 targets per game. All three of them had their fewest targets in a game vs. the Rams.Adams and Rogers is a challenge, but Ramsey can handle it.

The Packers finished the regular season with the NFL’s No. 1 scoring offense at 31.8 points per game. The Rams finished with the No. 1 scoring defense, allowing 18.5 points per game.
January 12, 2021 at 2:18 am #126777znModeratorThe last time the Rams and Packers faced off in the NFC playoffs was Jan 20, 2002.
The Packers turned it over a whopping 8 times (6 Favre INT's and 2 fumble) in losing 45-17 to the Rams.
Let's hope this defense does the same this time around! pic.twitter.com/1CzdpNBOfG
