i’m expecting big things from the tight end group.

tyler higbee could have a breakout year. i mean he already had a breakout year last year. but i think he could be even better at least numbers wise this year. i don’t know if the running game will be like it was 2 years ago. so he’s gotta pick up the slack.

i also think there should be a good mix behind him too. lots of athleticism. i like hopkins a lot. big fast and agile. if he can learn how to block, rams could have three really good tight ends at their disposal.

    and mundt too.

maybe we see something more like what mcvay was running in washington? don’t ask me what they ran in washington, haha! i just know they used a lot of tight ends.

and the running game. if the tight end group is stronger, how does that affect the running game? it seems like 2 years ago it was mostly out of 3 wr sets. now that they will possibly use more multiple tight end sets how does that affect what running plays mcvay designs for this team?

I’m happy about the Tight End group too. They’ve got a lot of athleticism now. And Higbee really stepped it up last year, obviously. He’s that big, relatively athletic target the Rams have lacked for so long. Not quite as athletic as Hopkins or Everett, but close, and a lot bigger.

On a side note: It wouldn’t have taken much at all to make that helmet remix excellent. Can’t help but wish they had just made the arc bigger, all around, at least an inch on the top, toward the back of the helmet too, and then done the old loop on the bottom ear part. It would have been so easy to get it right.

    ;>(

But I’m getting used to it enough not to think it’s awful now.
