Rams have spoken to former Washington TE Jordan Reed about a potential signing, per source. Reed is training in Miami and still wants to play.

Jared Goff apparently structured his deal in a way to make money available to sign Higbee to his deal.

Multiple sources from the combine say Panthers CB James Bradberry, one of the top corners on the market, is aiming for $15 or more million per year on a new deal.

    Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
Then Jalen Ramsey is going to sign and blow the whole thing up

I’m thinking at least $17M per year, but likely higher after these guys sign

Jalen Ramsey isn’t in any rush to sign. He’ll wait for the market to climb again in free agency

The Packers will make Rams LB Cory Littleton their No. 1 priority in free agency this year https://trib.al/dOuAn31

Indianapolis does a great job hosting the Combine but I don’t see it staying there long, through no fault of its own. With new stadiums coming online in LA and Vegas, the NFL moving it seems inevitable

Leaving Indy after NFL Combine. This class is the most fun I’ve covered. Insanely talented at the top and deep throughout. Nuance and high-stakes evals throughout. Going to be an awesome next two months!

The Athletic’s Rich Hammond mentions Rams RT Rob Havenstein as a trade candidate.
Signed to an extension ahead of the 2018 season, Havenstein ended up being a healthy scratch down the stretch last year. The Rams moved forward with Bobby Evans at right tackle. Havenstein made nine starts last year and graded out as Pro Football Focus’ No. 71 tackle out of 81 qualifiers. Not long ago, he was considered one of the better up-and-coming right tackles and a stable piece for L.A. Havenstein turns 28 in May.

from PFF: Offseason needs for all 32 NFL teams in 2020

LOS ANGELES RAMS: OFFENSIVE LINEMEN THAT CAN GET THE RAMS’ LINE BACK TO ITS 2018 FORM
    Secondary needs: edge defender, linebacker
The Rams’ offensive line was one of the better units in the league in 2018, and their offense flourished behind it as a result. That all fell apart this past season, with injuries and personnel changes taking a toll on the group. They finished the season 31st in PFF’s offensive line rankings, and now, the most consistent player from the line — Andrew Whitworth — is set to be a free agent at 38 years old. There isn’t a position on the line that the Rams can’t look to improve on in 2020.

They should also look to add some new pieces defensively. Edge defender becomes an area of need with the impending free agency of Dante Fowler Jr., but even if the Rams retain him, they can look to improve the other starting edge slot over Clay Matthews (54.2 overall grade in 2019) and Samson Ebukam (66.7). At linebacker, the Rams should make every effort to re-sign Cory Littleton. Since 2018, his coverage grade of 90.1 trails only Lavonte David and Luke Kuechly among linebackers with 1,000 or more defensive snaps.

Part of Sean McVay’s revamping of his Rams staff was creating a renewed sense of urgency around the building. And it sure seems like it’s working. To those around McVay, going 9–7 last year felt like going 4–12. Which is a pretty good sign for how much higher the bar has been set in LA, as opposed to where the franchise was over the last decade.

The crazy thing about all these QB’s that hit the FA market and the top QB draft prospects, I’m not sure there aren’t more QB’s than teams that need QB’s. It’ll be interesting to see how that dynamic shapes the $$$ end of things.

    Howard Balzer@HBalzer721
Exactly. I’ve likened it to a game of musical chairs, and when the “music” stops, there could be some QBs without chairs, or at least attractive chairs. It’s why Eli decided not to play the game.

A successful offseason for me is fixing/re-tooling the OL. Barring anything drastic, I’m quite certain the defense is going to be lackluster (knowing what we know now). But the key to getting back on track is the OL.

In other words: I’m interested in almost every available OL.

    Rich Hammond@Rich_Hammond
I’m big on Cory Littleton. But in a capped league, if a guy is going to get overpaid on the free-agent market, sometimes you have to know when to hold ’em and know when to fold ’em. This is a tough one.

Les Snead told @JB_Long that he doesn’t expect the Rams to use the franchise tag this year

    Lindsey Thiry@LindseyThiry
OLB Dante Fowler Jr. and LB Cory Littleton were among candidates to get the tag. The price for a LB would be north of $15 million and the Rams currently have about $19 million in cap space, according to ESPN Roster Management.
