Can McVay replace both Wade and Bones? I think not, but we will see. We are not standing still.

According to the readings, McVay wants a more complex scheme.

I think we’ve seen ideas like that work ok. And we’ve seen ideas like that turn out disastrous.

Its also worth noting that if they release Weddle they are losing a coach on the field.

this off-season could kill mcvay’s tenure with the rams.

should be interesting. i certainly hope that he makes the right choice.

Seems to me McVay is on a Power Trip. He’s doing a Trump; getting rid of all the adults in the room so he can do exactly what he wants. I’m afraid he’s going to flame out. It’s too bad. Once he is out and has a year or two to reflect on why and how it all went wrong, he’s going to come back and be a much better coach for some other team.

McVay is not an idiot. Neither is the GM.

    Trust the process.

I share the fear this is hubris.

Phillips and Fassel are quality coaches with distinguished track records.

Why not just get on the same page with them?

I would have liked to see Wade come back, but he IS old at this point. Someone new was needed at some point. That said, the defense played well this year even though they had little depth and some tough injuries.

Bones?? Ennh. I don’t remember any good special teams returns or blocked punts from the last 2 years since Pharaoh Cooper tried to fumble away McVay’s first playoff game. Did the special teams make any plays last year (besides Greg’s big kicks) or this year in the return game or blocked punts?
