I’m only going to do the first 6 picks, rounds 2 through 5.

Rapp is playing, to the tune of nothing but praise

Henderson is getting on the field and looking very good

Evans started out slow but recently is getting praise for developing

Long, we don’t know. But at one point the Rams were willing to trade away Peters without having to get Ramsey. And Snead has talked about other teams being intrigued by the Rams CB depth and trying to trade for it. So these indirect things maybe signal good things about Long (in fact I think they do). And there is no negative stuff on him.

Gaines has gotten some playing time. Has gotten decent buzz.

Edwards is a starter. And is getting high praise, which goes back to the pre-season.

So–3 guys playing prominent roles so far (Rapp, Henderson, Edwards) and decent to good buzz on the other 3.

This looks like it may turn out to be a very good Rams draft.

i got a feeling about long. maybe we even see him second half of the season. i though i read that he’s having to learn wade’s zone schemes.

i got a feeling about evans too. and i don’t necessarily think he’s just a guard prospect like you, but even if he did end up starting at guard. well. i’ll take that.

this is a particularly young class as well.

gaines is the oldest in his age 23 season. long is the youngest in his age 21 season. the others are all in their age 22 seasons.

the rams have at least 2 starters among that group. rapp i think no question. edwards. i think 50% at this point. it could go all wrong. yeah. still too early, but it looks promising.

I cant be rushed. I’m still weighing the Bradford vs Suh thing.

    I’m leaning toward, neither.

There are some players I have been thinking that may be there, for us in the round 2 or even 3.

    CJ Humphries CB Florida
    Rashard Lewis NT LSU
    Tedarrell Slaten NT Florida
Kenny Wilkes Edge Rusher Michigan State

If you really want some small school sleepers to look at, maybe in the later rounds, here are a few,
    Dajour Nesbeth CB Tennessee State
    Andrew Dickinson OG Findlay College
    Jonah Willams DE/Edge Weber State
Jalen Morton QB Prairie View A&M
    Kyle Dugger FS Lenoir-Rhyne
    Adam Trautman TE Dayton

Sneads 2019 draft is shaping up to be a very good one and we are just over halfway through their first season.

Taylor Rapp (2nd Rd)- pretty much a starter from day one, has looked good, excellent tackler, quick to react, takes good angles, has been solid in coverage but can improve there

Darrell Henderson (3rd Rd)- hasnt got a ton of playing time, but has great burst and will be a player for the Rams in the future, just has too good RB’s ahead of him. The Rams had to go this direction in case TG’s knee became a problem. He is the future.

David Long Jr (3rd Rd)- starting to get playing time with the trades and injuries. I like what I see so far. It is awesome to see the Rams with such depth at CB. The future is bright there.

Bobby Evans (3rd Rd)- the guy just starts is first game against the 2nd best defensive player in the league and one of the best d-lines. All he does is shut down Mack anf block very well in the run game in his FIRST start. The future looks bright with this bigger o-line version with these young pups.

Greg Gaines (4th Rd)- Trying to get time in a established unit. I think he makes a bigger impact next year but fine so far, concerned he might be too slow, but he also has proven to be stout against the run.

David Edwards (5th)- the guy hasnt missed a beat since he moved into starting job. We have our LG for the future (maybe tackle). Again love this bigger and just as fast o-line. Killer pick in the 5th.

Nick Scott (7th)- special teams demon, just as advertised.

Dakota Allen (7th)- got him back, looks like a good backup player/special teams demon to me. just needs opportunity, hopefully breaks onto special teams before season ends.

overall a great draft so far, if the Rams can continue to do this well they will remain a team to be dealt with. Just compare to other teams drafts.

It is really interesting what Kromer says about Edwards. He sounds pretty advanced.

Kromer (from the 11/20 Rams press conference, which is here http://theramshuddle.com/topic/mcvay-kromer-goff-11-20-transcripts/ ):

(On what the coaching staff did to simplify things for the younger players like OL Bobby Evans to have a successful game against the Bears)
“David Edwards playing next to him (OL Bobby Evans), believe it or not, after a couple of starts that he’s had, is really an intelligent football player. He was able to help Bobby a lot – in any kind of mental gymnastics he might have within the schemes. He did a good job.

I think it’s David Edwards coming into himself, into his own with having a couple of starts under his belt – even though it was left guard, right guard and all that. I think he gets football and he’s a good player.

Sorry, I misread. I thought you wanted to talk 2020 draft. I threw out some players in the 2020 draft, on who may slide to us in round 2 & 3. My bad.
