    @Bischoff_Scott: Had an interesting conversation about St. Louis DT Michael Brockers today. Wonder why they are bringing him off the field on third downs?

    @Bischoff_Scott: In 2012 and 2013, Brockers was on the field on third downs and he ate double teams, allowing DE’s Chris Long and Robert Quinn to be 1-on-1.

    @Bischoff_Scott: With Brockers at DT, Quinn had 11 sacks in 2012 and 19 in 2013 (Pro Football Focus). Long had 12 sacks in 2012 and 10 in 2013.

    I don’t know what’s going on in this defense. Brockers was hurt early in the season. Maybe he’s nursing a leg injury. I don’t know. But, I haven’t noticed him doing much on any down. My guess is that on third downs, Donald is getting most of the snaps because he has a better chance of getting to the passer.
