* Goff has followed the same trajectory in the NFL as he did in college, improving his play each and every season. Some of the games brightest defensive minds in 2018 gave Jared plenty to work on this offseason. It began in Detroit with the schematic approach implemented by Matt Patricia, continued in Chicago and cumulated in the Super Bowl. My guess here is a large part of Goff’s offseason was spent in film study, identifying ways to best handle the three high safety alignment and on recognizing overloads and shifts on the defensive line.
* I believe the 2019 Rams defense will generate more pressure in 2019 than they have since Wade’s arrival. A full offseason with the Rams should benefit Fowler immensely. Mathews proved in 2018 he could still get to the qb. But for those who know the details of the Wade Phillips defense and when his one gap 3/4 has its most success is when he has the cover personnel he desires in the back end. It is my belief the 2019 Rams have just that.

Sean McVay said he was impressed by the way Blake Bortles carries himself in the huddle: “There’s a certain confidence he exudes. He’s played a lot of football.”Sean McVay said Todd Gurley has “been (at the facility) consistently, pretty much every single day of the week”. Just not any team drills/work.

#Rams OTA observation: Rob Havenstein looks to have taken rookie (5th rd) David Edwards – a fellow Wisconsin OT – under his wing. Edwards had a 2nd RD grade in 2018 draft but returned to college for one more year. The size and athletic ability really jumps out in OTAs==

it’s been really interesting to me to hear DLs talk about their new position coach Eric Henderson, they’re giving him a lot of credit for working with them on the details for their development. LA Rams want the new look to reflect the new stadium. They are putting a lot of research (more than a normal NFL team) into getting uniforms right…there will be new uniforms AND new logo for next year.May 29, 2019 at 10:31 pm #101776znModeratorSean McVay impressed by Blake Bortles, says he's 'only going to get better' https://t.co/8T3WVCb0p3 via @theramswire

just to play devil’s advocate. that stat is not as impressive as it looks.
just briefly doing research wentz is not far behind at 4.8 and 1.9.
and watson will surely hit that this season when he gets his 1000 attempts. it’s just a different era of passing football.
i don’t think we’ll truly know what goff is until after year 8.
