Tree of Life - Terrence Malick

Well i picked up a dvd for a buck at the used video shop. Tree of Life. I had no expectations. Just a little Brad Pitt movie, i thought. Well....shit. Geez. What a surprise. It made me want to watch more of Malick's movies. I dunno what else he's done cept the Thin Red Line.

This movie is definitely not for everyone. Its a bit like 2001: A Space Oddyssey. It gets cosmic and evolutionary and surreal and dreamy at various times.

I can see some people absolutely swearing its the best movie of the decade, and i can see others walking out in the middle of it.

If yer interested in film though, i dont see how you can pass it by.

I liked it a lot, btw, fwiw. I'll probly watch it again. If anyone else watches then we can talk about WTF its 'about'
