Some table tennis observations

These guys are good--REALLY good.

The players walk in to a hard beating heavy metal type music.

I do not hold a paddle like they do. I hold the handle. They mostly hold the flat paddle.

They sweat a lot and carry big towels.

Lots of blowing on the paddles.

The serves are not "smashes", they are strange, light, maybe tricky serves.

They do a lot of handshaking before the match with the judges and their opponents.

There is no ball boy--even in the Olympics. Players have to chase their own loose balls.

I may have some Equestrian observations later. Or I may not. Stay tuned.
