    Just heard that voting was down in Cleveland and some counties in Ohio. Ed Rendell said his turnout was high where he votes in PA. I was surprised at the number of people showing up at my voting site today. I vote at an elementary school and usually vote around 9 or 10 but my wife had to work early so we got there shortly after the polls opened at 7. I don’t know if it’s because we voted a little earlier but there was a lot of people there–maybe more than I’ve ever seen.

    This is all anecdotal stuff– I know. But it will be interesting to see what voter turnout looks like for this election.

    Dems benefit from higher turnout—Republicans from lower turnout.

    That will probably be the deciding factor in the election. The weather was very good here.

    My wife and I voted early, albeit late afternoon on Monday. Election staff were working hard, but were kind of overwhelmed with the turnout when we were there, and we had to wait about an hour to cast our vote. We drove by our polling place on our way to work this morning and saw that that the parking lot was full, but no lines outside the building.

    I am a permanent absentee voter. This is always Tech Week for me in the theatre which means I never leave the building until midnight. I vote by mail, or I can’t vote at all.
