Rams now getting a Cardinals team without Johnson and Golden, Giants without OBJ and Texans without Watt and Mercilus.

No team has been in the red zone more times than Rams. But they’ve scored only 1 TD in their last 8 red-zone drives.

John Johnson said his work with the Rams has been split as a free safety and a strong safety. He got a chance to work alongside Lamarcus Joyner today. “He’s a tremendous player, so I can’t wait.”

Rams DB Lamarcus Joyner said his status for Sunday is still “up in the air,” though it still appears the plan is for him to play. On whether he and rookie John Johnson can be dynamic on the field together: “That’s taking it too far. We just have to play consistent and win games around here. I’m not going to get into this, that. Guy had a great game, but he has to continue to produce for this secondary.”

Rams WR Sammy Watkins admitted he’s frustrated by his lack of targets, but said, “I don’t know a player or a wide receiver who would not be frustrated through the game if you’re not getting the ball.” He admitted that there are times on film when he simply isn’t open and said he is all about the team. On pulling up midway through his route: “It was on me, honestly. I just thought I saw a certain look. … It wasn’t an effort thing.”

Rams WR Sammy Watkins, targeted six times in the last two games, was asked about the pressure to produce because it’s a contract year. He smiled. “I think I’ve got enough money.”

How much progress has Jared Goff made? The Rams were not mentioned among potential landing spots for Kirk Cousins.
