Well–that did not go well at all.

First of all it took forever to download android studio, and then it launched kind of funny and then I think I got ahead of myself and then I’ve been drinking Heinekens and the bottom line is that I got lost in a program that I didn’t begin to understand.

Yes–in 6 months I could probably figure it out.

    But I’m not THAT interested.

I just want a simple three step app builder. That’s all. I just want to make a few clicks and be done. I don’t want to know about code or sdks or sdts or whatever they were or base stuff.

I just wanted to make a simple vacation day tracker personalized for my use.

So the dream is gone. I will just have to keep checking paper slips and remember where I’m at. Yes–there are other vacation day trackers, of course. But this would have fit my personal schedule better. That’s why I thought it would be cool to learn about apps–to make more personalized ones.

But I just don’t want to take the time to invest in this sort of thing–not when I can watch YouTube videos of dogs skateboarding. Anyway–if any of you decide to go down the rabbit hole of creating your own apps–good luck.

    “So the dream is gone.”

Yes. I think we should rename the Public House, “the Dream is gone.”

Most of our posts describe dream-crashing of one kind or another 🙂

Well, sure—THAT dream is gone. But I haven’t given up on building my own solar panel and becoming energy efficient and free from the electric company. First, I’ll have to find instructions on line for panels that can be made from things around the house-like duct tape and aluminum foil. And it has to be a 3 step process, of course.

If it’s any consolation–the dream was probably gone a long time ago–we just held out hope that it wasn’t. That’s not a problem anymore.
