The Rams have 40 points again. The Rams.

    Vincent Bonsignore‏ @DailyNewsVinny
#Rams HC Sean McVay upon entering press conference: “Anybody got a beer?”

Gonna be an interesting ride with the #Rams this year.

    Joe Curley‏ @vcsjoecurley
Rams have won two games this year, 46-9 and 41-39. Apparently those two scorelines have never previously happened in NFL history (Elias)

Gurley’s first 100-yard rushing game as a Los Angeles Ram. Last one was Stl vs. Det, 140 yards in a 21-14 win on Dec. 13, 2015. @CVRamsClub

“You want to be the best. In order to be the best, you’ve got to do what the other best are doing. You gotta step your game up.” —TG

“Guys are buying in. Everyone is winning their 1 on 1s. In the end, that’s what this league is about, beating the man across from you.” —TG

Goff: “When we run the ball like that, it’s tough to beat.”

McVay’s theme after Sunday’s loss: I’m accountable. Theme after tonight’s win: This is what we expect from our big players.

“Really pleased with Jared tonight. I thought he made great decisions with the football… I thought Jared managed the game very well.” — SMcV

McVay says Nickell Robey-Coleman made several plays tonight that were crucial to the result, starting with the game-starting pick.

Impact of Rams LT Andrew Whitworth:
Goff: 84 pass snaps in 3 games.
Per @PFF, Whitworth has allowed: -1 sack
    -zero QB hits
    -zero pressures.

    Peter Schrager‏ @PSchrags
Dreadful night for Rams special teams. Absolutely brutal.

    Dan Graziano‏ @DanGrazianoESPN
Rams’ defensive front trying to bail out the Rams’ special teams. This is a can’t-turn-away football game.

    Dylan MacNamara @DylanMacNamara
Crazy what a couple young, creative HCs can do for the quality/watchability of a game…

    GAME OF THE YEAR

    Charles Robinson @CharlesRobinson
It’s official. #49ers and #Rams has been the most fun game of the #NFL season thus far.

    Aaron Schatz @FO_ASchatz
The most impressive thing about the Rams is that we are all complaining about OL play in the league yet theirs is suddenly reasonable.

    Alden Gonzalez @Alden_Gonzalez
Rams RB Todd Gurley, on the encouragement of being in a system that sets this offense up for success: “It feels good, man. It feels good. We haven’t been able to put up points like that since Marshall and them left. … I’m just happy for Goff, being able to go out there and sling it. Especially after the tough year he had last year. I’m happy to see him progress.”

Rams NT Michael Brockers, on the struggles on defense: “There’s so much we can clean up. The points that they scored was unacceptable. Not saying we feel like we’re just the greatest defense ever, but we feel like we’re better than that.”

This was as wild and as thrilling a Thursday night game as one can imagine. The Rams were sloppy on special teams and not good on defense, but Jared Goff and Todd Gurley were both very good. And if defense and special teams are your biggest concern as a Rams fan, that is a good thing.

    Ryan Kartje‏ @Ryan_Kartje
Todd Gurley hadn’t rushed for 100 yards since Dec. 2015. That streak ends tonight.

Is this the most exciting Thursday night game ever? Just like we all predicted.

The #LARams didn’t score a single point on the road against San Francisco last year. Tonight, they scored in 12 seconds.

    J.B. Long‏ @JB_Long
For the first time since 2006, the @RamsNFL have multiple 40+ games.

#LARams lead the #NFL in explosive plays (20+ yds) with 15 & counting. All pass plays.

…after finishing 32nd in that category in 2016.

    Bucky Brooks‏@BuckyBrooks
All play callers aren’t created equal. Great ones can make their players look like super heroes through clever scheming..#McVay

    Marc Sessler‏@MarcSesslerNFL
Sean McVay is my favorite Millennial.

    Fred Roggin @FredNBCLA
Fair is fair. #Rams are exciting to watch. Like last season never happened

McVay w/improved talent, and and improved Jared Goff and the #Rams are onto something.

No reason to worry if #Rams offense sustainable. It is. Got multiple texts from #NFL people raving about Sean McVay’s scheming/coaching
