FORMER #66 OVERALL PICK IN 2015 DRAFT SIGNED TO REPLACE DONNELL
Former Utah Utes stud, and NFL Free Agent, Jeremiah Poutasi was signed yesterday by Los Ramos to our PS. He was second player picked in Third Round of 2015 Draft by Tennessee. According to Mike Mayock soundbite of the day…”former LT for Utah is very large at 6’5″ and 335 lbs BUT, his future in NFL will probably be inside as a mauler”…..or words to that effect.
Long story short, Poutasi (who is Polynesian) stunk as a RT, and at OG for the Titans who cut him and then Poutasi started one game late last season for Jacksonville and he lasted only about a dozen plays before he got injured. Jacksonville cut him and he was unemployed until yesterday.
Some write-ups of the day in 2015 listed Poutasi as “a project, but at only 20 years old, one that could be developed with time and good coaching.”
Maybe Kromer can sprinkle some of his fairy dust on this, now 23 year old kid, and come up with a reasonable swing tackle for us down the road??
