    This is Adel Termos.
Dozens, possibly hundreds, of people are still alive thanks to his bravery.
He was in Beirut with his daughter when a bomb went off on Friday.
As people gathered near the scene, Adel noticed a second bomber moving towards the crowd.
In a split-second, he rushed towards him and tackled him to the ground, causing the explosive to detonate.
The blast killed Adel, but there are conflicting reports about whether his daughter also died.

Beirut blogger and physician Elie Fares said: ‘There are many many families, hundreds of families probably, who owe their completeness to his sacrifice.’
He added: ‘They died because of some demented, twisted politics.’

Isis has claimed it is responsible for the bombing on Thursday.

The bomb went off outside a mosque in the predominately Shi’ite neighbourhood of Burj al-Barajneh.

At least 43 people were killed in the blasts, Associated Press reports, and more than 200 others were injured.
Adel’s cousin, Nazmiyeh Tarif, said: ‘They are people without conscience. May they get worse than what happened to us.’
In a blog post, Fares wrote: ‘Tonight, Adel and his daughter are no longer of this world, but both their legacy will live on for years, and the repercussions of their heroism will become a tale to tell: Adel is the reason we are not talking about fatalities in the three digits today, he is the reason some families still have their sons, daughters, fathers and mothers, he is a Lebanese hero whose name should be front and center in every single outlet.’
