I decided when Bernie declared that I’d stick with principle and he’d be my guy even if he was at 1%.

I expected him to have Lincoln Chafee numbers and to just have to sigh and trudge through.

However, Bernie has exploded and the more people get to know him, the more people like him.

The only thing holding Bernie back is the MSM that is so blatantly in the bag for Hillary that they go out of their way to only mention him when they feel they have to say he can’t win.

They said the same about Obama, too, btw…

Oh and don’t get me started on the demonization of socialism when we have so many examples of socialist policies in our hybrid society (police, fire fighters, military, VA, Medicare, Social Security, National Parks Service, NIH, CDC, etc)

Did you happen to see Larry David doing Bernie on SNL? I saw it live (not there, but on my TV when it was being broadcast) and I almost peed my pants.

I wish Bernie well, but I think he has too much common decency to survive a national run.

I did catch it later and it was hysterical!

I can only hope that decency becomes en vogue and truth a fad…

I didn’t watch the debate, but I did just go look up the SNL bit. I figure that’s more or less the way it actually went.

My son is somewhat excited by Sanders, and I’d like to encourage the boy, but I can only think that even if Sanders won, it would still be Sanders and about 500 turds on the Hill. You know, about 50 of those turds think John Boner is too soft. We are doomed.

I’d rather have Bernie Sanders and 500 turds than Marco Rubio and 500 turds…

    Actually, that’s more like 501 turds…

    Nevermind.

    Still Feelin’ the Bern…

Btw, anyone else feel that even 12 years ago Martin O’Malley would have been a fantastic candidate, but that now a rehearsed, camera friendly candidate who’s spouting a populist message ala John Edwards even if it comes across as genuine as O’Malley does just doesn’t resonate?

Watching O’Malley is like listening to a muffled gong. You just KNOW it should be different, but… it ain’t. You just don’t feel it.

    I’m votin for Bern,
    for all the obvious reasons,
    but
    he cant win,
    for all the obvious reasons,
    of course.

    He’ll do surprisingly well,
    though. Which is nice.

I expect, as usual, that by the time California holds its primary, it will already be over, but I will probably vote for Sanders.

I read an article a day or two ago that argued that the DNC is deliberately suppressing the the debates (a debate on Saturday night? Really? How many viewers did THAT get?) in order to contain Bernie. Clinton is a lock as the nominee if nobody hears Sanders. Look at the ratings for the Rep debates vs. the Dems.
