Rams OLB Ejuan Price – Draft Day Conference Call – April 29, 2017

(On how he will fit into Rams Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips’ 3-4 defensive scheme)
“I think naturally I’m a 3-4 outside linebacker, so I couldn’t have asked for a better fit. I’m just blessed to have this opportunity. I’m just grateful that it finally came around after three long days. I think I’ll fit right in with what I do. My specialty is penetration and pass rush so I think I can definitely be useful.”

(On if he thought his injury history was going to impact where he got drafted)
“The draft is so unpredictable, I’ve tried to keep my expectations pretty much even, but I thought I had two really good years these last two years. I just expected to have an opportunity and I’m blessed that I do now. No matter when it comes, it’s all even when you put the pads on so I’m just grateful to be a Ram today.”

    (On his injury history)
“I had a torn pectoral in 2012, a stress fracture in my lower back in 2013 and I tore my other pectoral in 2014. Before then and ever since then I’ve been 100 percent healthy, so I wouldn’t really label myself as injury prone, but it is what it is.”

(On if he had contact with the Rams before the draft)
“We had conversations with a couple people, but you never really know what’s what until they pick you. Yeah, we definitely had some conversations and I’m just thankful that they thought highly enough of me to pick me at this point in the draft.”

(On if he has had any contact with Aaron Donald)
“Yeah, I know him. I’ll probably talk to him in a little bit, but I haven’t talked to him today. I’ve been getting a lot of calls from teams. I’ve been really busy this last half an hour to an hour or so. I’m sure we’ll link up and speak on it at one point.”

(On if he has ever worked out with Donald at Pittsburgh)
“No, I’ve been seeing him around for years. We played on the same team for a bit and we were rivals in high school. We never got the opportunity to link up and work out when he comes back to Pittsburgh because I was in college doing my thing and he was in the pros doing his thing so time schedules didn’t really permit. We go to the same trainer now, so I’m sure we’ll have some sessions in the summer time.”

Rams DT Tanzel Smart – Draft Day Conference Call – April 29, 2017

(On his contact with the Rams prior to the draft)
“I know me and (Rams Defensive Line) Coach Billy Johnson really kicked it off with a conversation. He told me he believed in me and he told me he could get me up there if he could.”

(On his thoughts of joining a prominent defensive line with DT Aaron Donald and OLB Robert Quinn)
“It means the world to me. A player like Aaron Donald and Quinn, I really want to learn a lot from Aaron Donald. I’m just glad I’m in that situation to play and learn from those guys.”

(On what skill set he brings to the Rams)
“To tell the truth, I’m bringing the same skillset that all of those guys have. I’m going to hop in. I’m going to play my roll and anywhere that coach wants me to play, I’ll do it.”

(On his experience at the Senior Bowl)
“The Senior Bowl was pretty good. I talked to pretty much everyone. It was good going against all of that competition. It was a blessing.”

(On if he’s ever been to Southern California)
“No sir, this is going to be my first time in California.”

    (On his excitement)
“I’m excited. I’m real excited. I’m ready to come to work.”

Rams FB Sam Rogers – Draft Day Conference Call – April 29, 2017

(On his familiarity with Rams Head Coach Sean McVay’s offense that he ran in Washington)
“I am a little bit. I grew up around the Redskins because I’m from Ashville, Va., which is about two hours from D.C., so I grew up watching the Redskins. They use versatile guys, guys that can do a lot of different things and I feel like I fit that mold pretty well. It’s an honor just be a Ram right now.”

(On his experience on special teams and his eagerness to play on special teams with the Rams)
“Yes sir, absolutely. Playing at Virginia Tech, special teams is a huge emphasis – I can’t wait to bring that mentality to the Rams and get on the field any way I can. Obviously special teams is going to be a big part of that and I want to play as much as I can.”

(On the position he considers himself to be)
“I can do a bunch of different things, like I said. The Rams are going to bring me in as a fullback, and I can’t wait to block for (RB) Todd Gurley and contribute in any way I can.”

(On if throwing touchdown passes is still in his repertoire)
“Yeah, if they want me to do that, I’d be happy to (laughs).”

Rams LB Samson Ebukam– Draft Day Conference Call – April 29, 2017

(On how he might fit in with Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips’ scheme)
“I feel good about it because that really works to my game because I can be an outside linebacker and just rush the passer. That’s what I do best.”

(On if he got chance to talk to Phillips and what they told him when they called him)
“They just asked me if I was ready to be a Ram, and I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ That was my first visit too. I was just ecstatic. I had a gut feeling that it would be them to take me and I’m just blessed right now. I just can’t wait to get to work.”

(On if he had any conversation with Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp after he was taken)
“No I did not. I was just happy for him because he deserves it. When he got picked by them I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s the perfect team.’ Then I thought to myself, what are the chances I get picked by the same team? And it just happened and I was like, ‘Woah, Eagles really do stick together.’ That’s awesome.”

(On what he thinks about two Eastern Washington players getting drafted and what that says about their program)
“It just shows the work that we put in, honestly. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t get to go to any championships, but all the work that we put in in the offseason is really paying off right now.”

(On what he can tell Rams fans about Kupp)
“He just grinds basically kind of like I did. We worked out sometimes and sometimes I’m just like ‘Damn, this is the only person that I know on the team that can work as hard as me and not complain.’ So yeah, he just doesn’t complain. He just does things that everybody else’s team is doing on the offensive side.”

Rams WR Josh Reynolds – Draft Day Conference Call – April 29, 2017

(On what he brings to the Rams)
“Definitely intensity. I’m a playmaker and can play pretty much anywhere they need. I’m a winner and I’d love to help this team win.”

(On if he had a workout or meeting with the Rams prior to the draft)
“I took a visit, probably about three or four weeks ago, and I loved it. I love the vibe, I loved the energy they had and it seemed like they liked me. It seemed like the Rams liked me a lot. I developed a connection with them and how we get to develop it even more.”

(On how he uses his height and if it’s been an advantage for him in college)
“It’s helped me a lot. I feel like I’m an (inaudible) receiver, I’m versatile, my height was just a bonus, and really having long arms, just being long.”

(On going against the Alabama defensive backs the last few seasons)
“I definitely had to adjust my game to the different guys. And I did, but they just have real styles, they were real technical guys.”

(On his first impressions of Head Coach Sean McVay and how the phone call went)
“The phone call was a little R-rated, but they’re definitely happy to have me and I’m definitely happy to be a Ram. We’re going to get this thing rolling.”
